The Significance of Easter Has Been Lost

It is common these days to associate Easter with a long weekend of eating, drinking and having fun.
Here in Britain and across much of Europe, pubs and clubs are expected to be filled to capacity even on Good Friday, the day of Christ's crucifixtion.
In my view, there is nothing wrong with having a good time during Easter but the lesson of Jesus Christ's extraordinary sacrifice should never be forgotten.
So whilst we have fun, we should not forget that Christ sacrificed his life to save us.
